TestOut updated its LabSim 70-646: Windows Server 2008 Server Administrator course to provide students the most relevant, up-to-date preparation for certification exams with course access via any major Web browser. The updated LabSim 70-646 course was released December 28, 2011.
LabSim automatically updated the course content in the browser version of LabSim on that date unless you scheduled the update to happen at a later date using the Course Update tool in browser-based LabSim. This feature lets you delay the update by up to three months in order to schedule it for the least intrusive time, such as in between grading periods.
Please note: The browser version of LabSim 70-646 will be the only version of LabSim to receive updates to course content. The LabSim Windows client will no longer receive course updates. If you use the Windows client for 70-646 and wish to continue the course in the client, you must schedule a delay to the December 28th update to avoid losing client access to the course. The update may be delayed for up to six months.
TestOut updated the content in LabSim 70-646 to align the LabSim course with Microsoft’s revised objectives for its 70-646 exam. TestOut wants to make sure you are trained with the latest, so we have updated the course content to include:
- Modified Windows Server 2008 R2 features and applications, such as BranchCache, Microsoft System Center, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Deployment Services, and Windows Server Backup
- New and updated videos, demos, text, simulations, and quizzes that teach the concepts and tasks necessary to successfully navigate Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Administrator and to successfully pass the 70-646 exam
- New case study-style questions called “testlets” that provide a similar look and feel to the 70-646 exam
- Improved Windows Server 2008 R2 interfaces for all simulations
Like other new LabSim courses by TestOut, the 70-646 course is now accessible online through any major Web browser on a PC or Mac, and Closed Captioning has been added to videos and demos.
