TestOut is implementing an updated version of the LabSim client. Changes in this LabSim client update include:
Using LabSim through a web browser?
- Addition of a new Course Updates feature allowing schools to schedule release dates for updates to LabSim courses. After receiving advance notice from TestOut regarding pending LabSim course updates, administrators can select the “Course Updates” feature in LabSim’s administration tools and schedule to implement the update immediately, or delay the update by up to three months. This feature benefits schools by allowing LabSim course updates to be scheduled to occur when least intrusive, such as in between grading periods. Please note: When schools receive this new LabSim client, the list of course updates will be empty initially. Course updates will be added to the list for scheduling as the release dates for new updates approach.
- Several fixes regarding content delivery. This update will help to ensure that Text Lessons appear correctly, and that they are still available when the product is being used offline. This update includes better support for video demonstrations tied to text lessons.
- Improves compatibility with 64-bit operating systems.
- Increases columns and options in two LabSim reports: Progress Report by Percent Complete and Progress Report by Time Spent.
