The new Custom Exam Editor (Beta) is here! With this new tool for browser-based LabSim, instructors can create their own assessment exams using TestOut's bank of exam questions. 

The Custom Exam Editor (Beta) gives instructors another way to evaluate student learning and opens up new possibilities for grading students' performance. The tool allows instructors to design exams that do not let students utilize study tips or check their answers. Instructors simply choose the LabSim exam questions they like and emphasize any concepts they want. Then instructors schedule the time for students to take the assessment exam inside LabSim. 

With the Custom Exam Editor (Beta), instructors can even take simulations from LabSim courses and turn them into exam questions to create skills-based exams rather than just memory/recall exams. 

The Custom Exam Editor (Beta) also allows instructors to pull simulations and questions from multiple courses into a single exam. For example, instructors may want to combine questions from A+ Essentials and A+ Practical Application into a single exam. Instructors may combine questions from any of the LabSim courses they have purchased or for which they have a license.
