Software Support Technician
TestOut Corporation is looking for a highly motivated and dependable top-level software support technician to provide superior customer support for all TestOut products.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answer support lines and log all support issues in tracking software (email, calls, etc.) and update activities taken with customer.
- Provide professional and quality customer service by utilizing communication and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve customer issues.
- Identify, document, and report software issues/defects experienced by customers.
- Write and maintain technical knowledge base documents and other forms of documentation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Post secondary education in technical related field required.
- A+, Network+, MCSE/MCITP, CCNA or other IT certifications preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years customer service/support
- 2+ years application support with end users of all levels in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 environments
- 2+ years phone support
- At least 6 months as the only/last line of defense in a technical support role

IT/Academic Inside Sales Representative
TestOut Corporation is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Inside Sales Representative to increase sales of LabSim.
A successful Inside Sales Representative will make outbound prospecting/cold calls, provide pricing, generate quotes, close sales,
maintain strong customer relationships, meet and exceed sales goals. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and will
work closely with other sales team members.
Position Overview
- The Inside Sales Rep is responsible for qualifying new accounts and providing the correct solution to these organizations.
- This is an inside sales role that requires a high volume of outbound phone calls, many of which are cold calls. ****If you have not had outbound phone call sales experience like this, you will likely not be qualified.
- If you have only been an outside sales person, or have only handled inbound customer calls, you will likely not be a fit for this inside sales role.
- Our inside sales team members are provided with training and the necessary tools and support to succeed.
Responsibilities will include
- Make daily outbound calls to clients and prospective clients

work closely with both the sales and support departments to resolve basic customer support/service issues and provide
support to our sales team. Qualified candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision and have good interpersonal,

Instructional Designer/Sr. Technical Writer
TestOut Corporation is seeking an Instructional Designer to help us produce our industry-leading simulations and courseware. As a member of our team, you will be in charge of designing and producing a course from start to finish.
This is a full-time, permanent position at our Utah location.
Your duties will include:
- Identify course content scope based on vendor certification objectives
- Design online labs by identifying required features, working with programmers to implement those features, writing scenarios and feedback, and creating lab files
- Review audio and video editing work
- Write course text-based content
- Write practice test questions based on the content scope and matching the style and difficulty of certification exams
- Review and edit the work of others (writers and SMEs)
- Assemble all components into the finished product, ensuring the final product meets all objectives
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum 3 years experience in computer-based instructional design or IT industry technical writing
- Computer, networking, or programming background
- Strong writing skills
- Proven ability to apply instructional design techniques
- The ability to learn and master new topics

This is a full-time, permanent position at our Utah location with little or no travel.
Your duties will include:
- Recording videos and demonstrations to be included in our self-study training courses
- Designing hands-on labs
- Acting as a subject-matter expert to our simulation programmers and technical writers
- Writing course content and exam preparation materials
- Reviewing course content developed by contract instructors and in-house developers for technical accuracy and completeness
- Researching new technologies and certifications
- Refreshing existing course content
- Conducting training, creating tools, and providing support for instructors using our products
Required qualifications include:
- 3+ years technical training for IT certification (A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP)
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear manner
- An understanding of networking technologies that goes beyond the official curriculum
